Lazy Wang Seven begs to learn magic but can’t endure the hard work of chopping wood. Before leaving, he asks to learn wall-passing. The priest teaches him but warns that evil intentions will break the spell. Wang goes home, tries to show off to his wife, and crashes headfirst into the wall. The story mocks those who want rewards without effort and whose vanity leads to humiliation.
